A yellow mineral landing gear fluid based on MIL-PRF-5606, boosted with additional additives for improved extreme-pressure characteristics and natural lubricity. Its lubricity agent forms a stable thin film on metal surfaces in mild conditions, while the extreme-pressure additive carries the load at metal-to-metal contact during landing/touchdown, guarding against ladder cracking and slip-stiction of the piston.
